Big Walk 1899 Cable Car guide: stations, direction and regrouping

The common mistake is not missing the cable car. It is losing the shared reference for whether the party should keep moving or turn back.

First conclusion: First conclusion: identify whether you are at the upper or lower station, then confirm that a teammate can return to the same station. The moving car is a signal, not automatically the only forward direction.

How to read the cable-car section

Use nodes rather than distance: the upper station is your departure reference, the moving car shows a change of direction, the lower station is the next regrouping target, and the return point keeps the party on one information line.

On a first run, one player should watch the station area while another watches the car movement. Do not send everyone in different directions at the same time.

Recommended order

  1. Confirm the upper stationWalk around the station once and name a fixed landmark before following the car.
  2. Treat movement as a clueCompare the car direction with the ground route and the teammate's return path.
  3. Regroup at the lower stationDo not let each player choose a different next target before everyone shares the same view.
  4. Turn back when the reference is lostIf the route cannot be explained after a short search, return to the last station and reset the callout.

Progressive puzzle hints

Open only the layer you actually need.

Look for the station structure and the path that lets a teammate return to it.

Name the current station, then use the moving car only to compare direction.

Confirm the upper station, observe the moving section, regroup at the lower station, then use the last shared landmark as the return point.
